Just added!

Pfadt Race Engineering Long Tube Camaro Tri-Y Headers With Cats: $1425 SHIPPED

Pfadt Power Products now brings you a race-proven Tri-Y header design making more HP and Torque at an affordable price!
  • TRI-Y Design, 4-2-1 tube merging
  • Makes much more torque under the curve, while still increasing top end HP
  • 1.875/2.125" tube diameter
  • Direct connection to factory X-Pipe and after market Cat-backs
  • CNC flanges with OEM locating features
  • Fully hand-TIG welded on-site
  • T-304 16 Gauge Stainless Steel
  • Fully Brushed Stainless Steel Finish
  • V-Band Clamp connections
  • Equal length long tubes
  • Available with and without Catalytic Converters
  • Full 3" collector
  • Comes with bullet-nosed flange bolts for installation
  • O2 Sensor extenders
  • Cometic Multi-Layer Steel gasket upgrade
  • Exhaust system with Cats is 24lbs lighter than factory
  • Exhaust system without Cats is 27lbs lighter than factory
The Pfadt design takes proper exhaust flow to a new level by pairing non-adjacent cylinders together to create a super-scavenging effect with the 4-into-2-into-1 (Tri-Y) construction. In this system, the exhaust flow from individual cylinder pulses are optimized to suck air into the combustion chamber from the intake. This creates a much more efficient power curve that results in a greater amount of usable torque (called torque under the curve) in the mid-range, while not sacrificing any top-end power for peak numbers.

Great info

Thanks for the informative write up. I have been researching for a while now and this helped me decide. I was wondering if you have any special pricing or deal for military on this set up: http://www.apex-speed.com/american-r...with-cats.html. I have a 2012 SS convertible L99 and I am looking to buy a long set up right away, Thank you.

Respectfully,
Jeremy

"Works of automotive art. I would almost rather hang them on the wall." C5 member Pharmaro's response when he laid eyes on his new Pfadt headers.

Hey Chase - How come I'm coming up dry on the PFADT headers on the Apex website? The link above doesn't work and when I go to the headers page, they aren't listed. Did you quit selling them? Thanks Rod

I hate to be the one to break the bad news to you, but Pfadt closed their doors a few months ago.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=344237

If you're specifically looking for Tri-Y's your only option is Doug Thorley's. My internet research hasn't sold me on them so I'm waiting in vain for Pfadt to come back as Phoenix Racing or something... that or I hear GM is going to be selling the set off the Z.

P.S. If someone reads this who is parting out their used set PM me NOW! I want dibs! lol

Hey, I couldn't find a Borla exhaust thread by you so I'm posting here. First off, you are the first place I go when searching for parts, service is unbeatable. But I'm curious, why do you not have the 2014 Borla series of exhausts on your website? I can't help but wonder how many '14 drivers have ordered the wrong part. I know its probably a minimal difference, but if you go to Borla's website they have completely different part numbers listed for the 2014's (S type, touring, ATAK) that aren't on your site. Is this a contract thing before you can list them? Do I just need to order through their site? I apologize in advance if i'm missing something...but its confusing.

For quick reference, here is the link to the '14 ATAK
http://www.borla.com/products/camaro...t__140532.html

Oh...and lastly, i have a spring edition, will this fit fine with the ground effects package on the 14?

flaguy, we are in the process of adding the 2014 specific part number but we honestly do not know why they exist. The existing part numbers fit just fine on the 2014 models. In the mean time, if you do want one of the new part number just give us a call.

Jeff_SS just installed a set of Kooks 1 7/8 headers and high flow cats from Apex Motorsports along with the factory NPP exhaust on his 2013 SS. This thing sounds awesome!
