Only if it is proven to have caused a failure with the warranted part as installed by the factory or dealer installed factory authorized and warranted part. You do not automatically lose your warranty though on the entire car even if it's proven to be true, only the system it directly affects.

If it's a dealer installed factory authorized accessory part, it's covered on a warranty.

After more thought, I have come up with a few reasons why the Z28 intake may NOT fit the ZL1.

1. Different hood profiles. All Non-ZL1 vehicles have the updated front ends, with the lower front hood profiles. This would make the "taller" profile of the ZL1 not quite compatible with the intake shield (it may not come up high enough).

2. Throttle body elbow location. The ZL1 throttle body exits the charger on an angle, whereas the LS3/LS7 have throttle bodys that exit the manifold perfectly straight.

After looking at the various intakes for the ZL1 at SEMA, I may have to build my own. I know others will just say "Get Roto-Fab or Cold Air Inductions" intake, but I'd rather have the OEM look of molded plastic. I have roto molding contacts, so it may not be too difficult for me to do.

I wonder what the price tag will be for the 3" Z28 exhaust.

I also would be in for a Z28 intake, but looks like there's no way it would fit. The headers are tri-y, any thoughts on fitting up to stock ZL1 components?

I would venture a guess that they would fit...but if you're going through the trouble, why not long tube headers from Kooks, Stainless Works, etc?

Of course, other than cost (the GM ones are probably cheaper).

The sign on the display says 3", but then says it has 2.75" clamps. When I measured a section of the exhaust on a display car (on its side), the tubing was 2.75" in diameter, not 3".

I wonder if there is a huge difference between the tri-Y exhaust manifolds and the stock LSA ones on the ZL1?

I just looked at the 2013 sema magazine on chevy's web site and it says z28 2.75" performance exhaust. So Im guessing 3" was a typo or something

CONCEPT Z/28
PERFORMANCE PARTS
2.75" Z/28 EXHAUST
• Provides more than a 25% reduction in back pressure
(compared to an LS3-equipped Camaro)
• Reduces highway “drone” by continuing to incorporate the
active valve
