What do they do to the view from the back-up camera? I know it's pretty bright with the stock bulbs at night.

The Stage 2's are going to be brighter than stock and make it easier to see when backing up

I meant the view from the camera. I'm wondering if a really bright bulb white washes the view at all.

would love to see a picture from back up camera as well, LED don't throw as much light really as halogens but would love to see how they look on there!

That's what I ment. The stock bulbs in mine were useless. Not enoph light to use the camera or see anything in the mirrors.

The Stage 3's will provide ample light when backing up

It's considerably brighter than the Stage 2's, perfect for those of you who need maximum backup brightness

Question:
In your installation instructions on your site it states:
Backup LEDs are a direct replacement. Just change the bulb! You will not need any resistors or other accessories.

Remove your factory bulb

1. Access the bulb or tail light. You may need to pull back the trunk/cargo carpet and/or unscrew the visible nuts holding the light in.
2. Remove the backup bulb socket by twisting counterclockwise.
3. Remove the factory bulb from the socket.

Install your new LED bulb

1. Plug new LED bulb into socket by pushing it in fully.
2. Test the function of the bulb. If it does not work, remove it, rotate, and reinstall in the socket.
3. Insert socket back into place, and reassemble as necessary. That's it!

Is that correct or do you actually have to remove the bumper/fascia?

Thanks

Yes,

You will have to remove the rear fascia to gain access to the bulbs. It's a fairly simple procedure

Through us for a slight curveball too! We have the ZL1 coming in so we can be extra sure our specially designed LED will fit!

Nick,
Still waiting for the rear lights for my 2013 ZL1 vert? You stated that you were getting a new ZL1 in for testing.

Ordered these last week, SUPER FAST shipping...
Bad news is 100% FAIL.
Neither light worked. I tested both at once, just the left, then just the right, then just left with stock right bulb, and vice versa, no dice.
MAJOR disapointment, I was really looking to upgrade these.
Contacted Diode Dynamics, they are sending me a return shipping label...
I will update as things progress...

Kinda Ironic, just after posting yesterday I checked my inbox- Diode Dynamics had emailed me the prepaid shipping label for the return. I was able to sip out that day.

All in all, I was disapointed that the lights didnt work; I already have LED License plate lights from Diode, they produce nice clean white light, but the stock reverse lights are a gross yellow- yucky.
Diode Dynamics did take great care of me as a customer though. Easy fast shipping, and now easy fast returns with no hassle. Also their points sytem cant be beat (they give you credit for reviewing their products on forums like this one, and also for taking pics of the products installed on your car. So, overall, it sucks that my lights didnt work, they were probably damaged by those gorillas at the post office, but I will highly recomend Diode Dynamics.

@Spartan01,

I'm sorry that you had issues with your order. Let me know when before you place your next order and I will get you taken care of. We ship out of our location extremely quick, and like you said the "Gorillas" at USPS sometimes damage our products in shipping...very frustrating, but it's not too common since we take pride in packaging our items.

I'm glad our customer service department got you taken care of and I appreciate the recommendation

Thanks,

Nick C.

As I said, we don't have anything yet. We have not yet been able to confirm fitment for the 2014. We will post when we have been able to do so.

Thank you,
Nick C

I just called Diode Dynamics because my car is in the body shop with the rear bumper off, and need this bulb. I was willing to pay extra for overnight and rush processing, but was told they dont do overnight shipping.

Too bad, customer lost.
