Picked up my 1LE last Friday, all the guys at the dealership were loving it. I have to say this thing is stunning, its actually my 3rd 5th gen and already my favorite! The Recaro's are fantastic, dual mode exhaust I'm happy to say sounds similar to the solo performance I had on my previous SS, love the suede steering wheel/gear selector. Decided to forgo the 2 for a 1SS, had a 2LT and 2SS previously, but not missing the "extras", would have ditched the leather anyway for the Recaro's so just didn't seem worth it. Also got the non RS this time, I just prefer the look on the 2014, we all have our opinions eh

It definitely feels different to drive.. in a very good way! The weathers pretty dodgy here now so haven't dared open it up until/if we get a warmer day; gotta get the winter rims on very soon .. oh well.

Anyway all that to say that this thing is awesome!!!

How much did 1SS knock off the price tag vs. 2SS?

I'm still figuring out exactly what I want on my 1LE and you make a good point about ditching the leather for the Recaro's anyway. . .

I'm assuming all I'd be missing with a 1SS and Recaro's would be leather back seats, the extra gauge cluster in the center and heated seats?

Firstly thanks :-)

Ok so basically it came out to about the same as a 2SS with Boston/RS package, at least vs my previous. I honestly didn't price it out this time. I got the 1SS with Recaro's, navigation, boston, dual mode exhaust and back up camera for $40 more a month than my 2012... They were the option I absolutely wanted for various reasons if that helps.

And so yes, my personal feeling was that the leather was the biggest gain with the 2 so pointless keeping that. HUD was nice but not a necessity, same for the cluster, don't need heated seats b/c they are not leather and I actually now prefer the non shiny trim in the 1. Like I said it's all personal opinion but that was my thought process, what I "lost" on the 2 I more than gained IMO with these options.
