hell yeah!

But before anything else, here is my story behind it. I went to the body shop to get a quote, right? Guess how much they wanted for it? $1022 with installation...$599 just for the paint. Obviously I walked out and went to another body shop to get it done.

Ouch, I paid $250 to have my insert and hood stripe painted. Installation isn't all that difficult. I sure wouldn't pay $1,000 for it.

That's why I went to a different shop. The only thing that was holding me back from installing it by myself was the fact that I don't have a cutter to use. What kind of cutter did you use?

A cheap B&D jig saw with a fine metal cutting blade. Cuts through the aluminum hood and bracing very easily.

Not sure about the whipple....but I can't put my drain pan on with my SLP TVS2300. The actual insert clears...but no room for a drain pan

Was it a clean cut? How did you cut the black thing underneath the hood?

For maximum clearance consider our T10 hood insert.

Black hoodliner can be trimmed with a utility knife and even better with a dremel disk cutting tool.

It's pretty easy to cut.

Yes the fine teeth on the metal blade left a very nice edge, but since you never see most of it, it's not real important. The hood insulator I used a utility knife to score it through the cut hole then I used heavy duty scissors to cut it out. I also painted the cut edge of the hood black so it would not be visible through the front vents.

Nice. How did you insert the blade on the hood? Did you make a hole first before using the cutter?
