So I have the SLP supercharger with small pulley (9lbs of boost), 65lb. injectors, buster pump, SLP long tube header, full 3" X pipe exhaust and high flow mufflers and had the balancer pinned to crank. Roto-Fab CAI as well. When SLP was in Toms River NJ it was about 35 minute ride to the place. I had them do the work and do a dyno tune on the car when done. This was all before SLP was purchased and moved out of NJ. They did excellent work and I have no problems with the car at all. It can crank out the power when you put your foot into it.
Soooo....what'd it dyno?

Springs are in, waiting on new Comp Chrome moly pushrods after I measure the length needed to be sure.

On the dyno tune it pulled at the rear wheels 561 HP and 526 ft. lbs.

Was it a Mustang dyno? Seems a bit low for the mods you have on an LS3 @ 9 psi. I would have guessed 600whp.

SLP does conservative tunes. Sure if I take it to another good tuner they would be able to up the hp. But the current setup is like driving a stock LS3 until you get on it. My guess is SLP being in conjunction with GM do this conservative set-ups because they can carry a full warranty. Lets face it I don’t think they want any LS3’s coming back due to a blown engine. For now I am happy with the output. The car has less then 4,000 miles on it. Someday I might have it retuned.

I used Comp 1.82 rockers on my LS2 with the stock cam. I can not really comment on power gains because I changed the heads and a few other things at the same time. I think it is a worthwhile change for someone that doesn't want to change the cam. A little added lift definitely can not hurt, and it is an easy mod that doesn't require going into the engine. Changing the cam would obviously be better, but some don't want to do that since often the problems start as soon as you go into the engine.
When I did later do my short block and cam, I kept the same rockers and spec'd the cam accordingly. The rockers have been completely trouble free and I am not easy on them.
I would suggest checking the wipe pattern when installing since the geometry is changing. In my case it was as perfect as possible.

Out of curiosity, will 1.82 rockers for an LS2 work on an LS3 or L99 that is otherwise stock?

I don't believe so, we have offset rockers on the LS3 heads. I don't think the LS2's did.

Finished up the install today, now waiting to do the Squash. Checked the 7.400" (stock length) Comp pushrods, they are fine with about .065 lifter takeup. Idles stock, although a bit higher until it learned down. Once the weather breaks I'll log it & tweak the tune accordingly. Since I got the SLP entire kit for such a bargain from a fine member on here (denooo11 it was a worthwhile mod. Prob took 7-8 hrs start to finish over several days.

No problem Dean, glad I finally got the kit on. I've been working doubles since Christmas and with the winter storms everything was way behind.
