Aside from price, what the advantage/disadvantages of the axle back over the cat back?

I like having a direct connect, meaning if I'm replacing the exhaust I want the entirety of the factory exhaust gone, so Long tubes with an x-pipe that then bolts onto the catback. If it's an axle back, you've still got old piping from the previous exhaust. Not necessarily bad, but it helps with overall flow. Most of the mid pipes on MOST cars are crushed piping which restricts flow because it bottlenecks at the area of the crush. Another benefit is if resonators come into play. Resonators don't flow very well. They're not as bad as catalytic converters, but they still bottleneck exhaust flow. A lot of aftermarket exhausts don't have crushed pipes or resonators like the one pictured below is a good example of a crush pipe ON a resonator, so just imagine how terrible that is (you guys get to laugh since it's on a mustang. poor guys):

Hope that helps!

So the ...Borla S-type (Stinger) Catback Exhaust w/ X-pipe would be the best way to go and not have to do any tuning then?

Yeah, you can hold off on the tuning until you get long tubes if you ask me, it's not really needed right off the bat with a catback.

I'm stealing someones picture off google, so I apologize if it's someones picture here that didn't want me to use it. Anyway, you can see with the picture below the factory exhaust, and a set of ARH Long tubes:

The exhaust flows so much easier though the header you see on the bottom, you can just see how many sharp angles are in the factory manifold, along with the catalytic converters in there which really slow things down.

So the catbak connects to the headers then.
So until I get new headers (voiding any warranty), I wont need to tune anything till then.
Will installing the catbak without a tune have any long term effect, or things will work fine?

Thx

If you get a set of long tubes like the ones below made by Stainless Works, then you can get a catback system on top of that and have it match up, yes. And just FYI, just because you install a part, doesn't mean it voids the warranty right away, so it's not an instant thing, you'll still be able to go into the dealer and get any maintenance done that's still covered under warranty.

Catback without a tune is fine, I would run it on my personal car without worrying about it.

Well, ordered the Borla, now I just have to find a shop in my area that can install these when they show up. States 2 weeks before shipping, since new product...the wait begins...

Another question if I may about these pipes.
Heard some talk about 'drone' issues, will I have this issue also?

There could be a little but it shouldn't be anything bad.

Is there anything else needed to do this install..like seals or whatever?
Or is it ready to install right out of the box?

Loved ATAK without headers. Love it with headers.

My home theater setup is completely separate from my home stereo in a separate room (the kids are not allowed in there). I ran it through the home stereo system (tube pre-amp-monoblock tube amps) which requires NO subwoofer. The vintage Altec Lansing Voice of the Theater speakers made it sound like Green Valley Raceway (RIP) was open again.

I'm busy getting broken glass picked up as 3 pictures fell off the wall.
