The car is in the shop and will be down until I pick it up for the Texas mile. I have a very long list of work that is going to be done.

1. Install roll bar.
2. Remove manual trans and inspect gears an synchros.
3. Replace clutch
4. Change rear diff fluid.
5. Install lighter Racing brake rotors front and rear.
6. Install gauge to directly monitor IAT and supercharger coolant temp.
7. Install nitrous system
8. Install lighter weight crash support bars under existing bumper.
9. Weld in new tow loop on new crash support.
10. test and tune

I really want to get 200 mph.
Holy shit !
That's a long expensive serious list.

Yeah, I forgot he is replacing the entire fuel pump system because the current pump system in there is already maxed out.

Still wondering why you are trapping low for your whp.

Congrats on 10s with a stick!

Well I didn't have race gas in it so the hp probably was in the 700's with the tune I had but I thought the car felt a little flat myself. This is the first time I did the 1/4 with 3.23 rear ratio vs the 3.73 and I think that might have hindered it but I must admit I was disappointed in the results. Looks like it is going to take some work to get this thing in the 9's.

One thing that a lot of people do not realize that there is a reason that some ZL1's(any street car)that can run 9sec's do not run track day's is because they are built for street use,and short fast 1/4 mile runs...I may not race or own a shop any longer, but there is a huge difference between trying to run fast 1/4 times, trying to run quick lap times,or heck even a texas mile with the same car,not alone the same set up...what you either end up with is a purpose built car that can drive on the street and do one or the other really fast or something in the middle, like a stock Zl1 was built from the factory for.....

I read question's sometimes like why is someones E.T so slow or why does it over heat after 2 fast laps...It's not going to match a ZL1 built just for E.T. or one built for just track day use....I am not posting this so much for your understanding but for otherS that only look at RWHP and weight to base what a car should be able to do...A boosted race engine can be hurt really easy running lap days...

If you ever end up with a car that can race around and lap all day with reliability of a stock ZL1 and able to spank track only cars with less HP,as well as being able to run a good 9 sec pass ,and run 200mph at texas, with even close to the same set up you are going to have not just a fast car,but one HELL OF A PACKAGE.....
Some people do not realize what that takes and the type of R&D,and money it takes...when you finish this project others that will be able to copy it,should thank you for all the funds and time your going to say save them....GREAT CAR,LOVE THE EFFORT,AND DONT GIVE UP YOU WILL GET THERE...

The fastest bolt on only ZL1 has some where in the 600rhwp and i think it ran 10.6

I never saw his dyno sheet but he ran 10.4 @131. That's very impressive! I'm pretty sure I've got more on the dyno and changing to the auto rear ratio of 3.23 with the manual trans (to get me above 200 in the mile) seems to have slowed my car a bit in the quarter, it would have been much faster with the 3.73 rears in it but as you said, I'm trying to do everything with one car. My supercharger is dialed back enough to allow me to run a flat out session for 30 minutes on the road course. I don't change any pulleys when I drag race and I know the car could give me 2 or 3 more pounds of boost in a 1/4 mile but could not sustain it on the road course. So, I'm doing the best I can with what I have got. I change tires for the venue I'm running and I change the tune to match the best octane I can get. And if something breaks, I buy a stronger part....lol.

Thanks for the encouragement.

New dyno up.

I went and looked at my car today..... It has been down for 3 weeks. All of the crash bars and roll cage are in it. I didn't take any final pics today. Nitrous system is in and all tuned. I still needs a few minor tweeks so it will stay at ADM until I swing by and pick it up on the way to the Texas mile. Dyno looks pretty good, I think I'll be able to go 200 mph.... first time I drive it again will be on the way to stage it for a speed run.

He has got his CTS-V together, 417 with the new heartbeat LSA blower and the same nitrous set-up as mine and that will definitely do 200, got a twin turbo carbon edition Z06 on a RHS 427..... I just hope I'm not the slow-poke of the group...lol.
