I'm unclear on the benefit of this.

What issue does this mitigate?

You use it as an "extension" of the pinch weld jack points so you can use a regular floor jack to jack up the car WITHOUT much fear of crunching your side rocker ground effects. Makes things much faster when you need to jack the car up. Kind of like an adapter to use a floor jack.

Unless you just LIKE digging the factory jack out of the car and using that thing.

if you look on a ZL1 the lower rockers are below the jack points of the pinch weld. So if you do not have a stock jack you will need something to go up into the opening so as to not crush the rocker panel.

No, we do not have a jack, but other Camaro's do have a jack.

Just got a nice surprise in the mail today Got my Jack pads. They are excellent quality and will work well. Very worth while to us Camaro owners. Makes lifting easy.

Thanks

We ship same day, we also ship to you and you can pay after you get them, email or call for that option. We can make custom pads also. We made a 12 inch jack pad for a Mustang being raced and is lifted from center to lift both wheels on one side. ps. That will not work on a ZL1 unless you cut a slot in the lower black rocker cover.

Maybe I'll try and come at this angle next time. I went at a 90 degree angle with the jack and the jack pad slipped on the weld and basically flipped the jack pad sideways. I did have the car jacked up kinda high though because I was trying to get my jack stands underneath. Maybe I need lower jackstands so I don't have to jack it up so high. It was a "pucker" moment.

Don't forget to make sure your inserting it in the slot provided in your rocker panel. There are two slots, one near the front and one near the rear.

Yes, the slots are for jacking the car up with stock jack. Our ZL1 does not come with a jack. Also make sure the jack pad is resting on a flat surface of the floor jack. NEVER use a bottle jack to lift a car! Call us anytime day or night if you have questions. 858 527 8727 we will make custom pads if you need them for your type jack in most cases.

The old style floor jacks were to lift a car on the frame or pumpkin. New cars are most unibody and the new jacks have a flat top that is best to use with a jack pad.
