It's not possible. MyLink doesn't support video files (out of the box anyway). Only way to get it to play videos would be to root it and modify the firmware.

The Nav-TV unit says plug-and-play but I don't know what it does. Any Camaro that has a color touch screen MyLink is already capable of a reverse camera. So, what is this thing doing for $700? |

And the mylink is can bus controlled so without going into the can bus system you cant get the camera to work without it being in reverse. There is not just a wire you can send a signal to

I recall someone in another section of the forum mentioned something about a wire at the transmission that would trigger the reverse camera input. I don't recall who it was. Wish I could find that post.

Hello,
Just came across this thread. I have invented a module that lets you add a video source and a backup cam (if not already present). The modules on the market use a GVIF interface that is more expensive than the solution using the backup cam input (like mine). Unlike the solution 64stingray found out, i am telling the radio over CAN that the reverse is on. (so no reversing lights are on). It allows a cinch Video Input with Audio and a backup cam Input. We try to bring it to the US market shortly. We are searching for a tester. I also invented a GM specific Bluetooth Interface with Android App, allowing to lock/unlock the car, open trunk and window,... by voice. Full GM Diagnotics, Outside Lights controlled to the beat of the music, Dashboard with a lot values (like hp),etc... I hope this post is ok for the admins. Greetings Bernd |
