Welcome also to you (Brad is it?) too! Bad news is that 2010s were all 1LTs. That means no RS headlamps with the halos. That was the one thing that I was disappointed with in the 2010 Synergy Edition (*gasp* blasphemy, I know!). But despair not; there is a way to get halos in your car that doesn't involve kitchen appliances. I replaced my non-RS halogen headlamps with aftermarket "Eagle Eyes". They are HIDs headlights that come with CCFL halos that are white. The one drawback is that there is no way to make the halos change colors, because they are more like florescent lights, and not LED driven like the stock halos. Good thing is that they are pretty much plug and play. You do have to add in ballasts (included in the kit) and I would recommend the anti-flicker wiring harness (extra). But no baking involved! They run around $300 a pair last time I looked, which is a lot cheaper than the $600-800+ each of the stock RS. Here's what mine look like:

Thanks for posting the pic. I'm fine with just the white halos - don't need anything too fancy - and the car is flashy enough so don't need colors I'm just afraid / not familiar with wiring, taking stuff apart and all that. I mean I've done some small things to fix some other cars, but it was more take a panel off, put something in and putting the panel back on lol That taking the whole front off is s c a r y lol

Hey Wade , It was great getting out and driving the Camaro , The cruise Hum Lets say we were early and this was a the bank in town. So my daughter and me cleaned the car and hung around and no body shows up . So we take a walk and ask a guy and come to find out they built a new bank on the other side of town . So we head over and there was like 10 cars there . Stayed a hour but got real cold headed home . Now the kicker is my daughter kept telling that we were in the wrong place and everyone else was some where else ..Don't you hate when kids are right ..LOL

Last year at the Fest a few of the green crowd got together for a photo shoot in the parking lot. Maybe this year we can manage to get a few more together.

I am trying to trade mine in for personal reasons.

I understand these cars worth more to us than dealerships, but thought you guys could understand my feelings about this.

I was just politely told that no one would like that color and the longer it sits on the lot the less value it has.

Really wish I could find someone to buy it and care of it the way it should be cared for instead of dealing with these guys...

Who ever told you that is a moron. The car would sell very quickly.

Goo, post that dealership! They are morons and don't deserve any business. We know too many people that have searched high and low looking for a SGM. (I'm going to miss him though, but you know we understand! I'm looking forward to that cook out you promised. Yep, going to hold you to it!)

I'd love to have an SGM SS myself ... and my dealer here has been trying to talk me into trading in my 2LT. Because he knows this car would be a quick sell.

As for plasti-dip ... fun stuff! I recently did my bowties, fender logos and taillight bezels.

The dealer that sold me mine had it for quite a while. They had it listed pretty high, but came down really quickly because they couldn't get rid of it.

The color is very polarizing. People either love it, or they hate it. So as a dealer, you have to find somebody who is looking for a Camaro of that year, with those options and mileage, who happens to love SGM. It's not easy. You'd be better off selling it yourself. Advertise it nationally (cars.com, autotrader, etc.).

In the mid west SGM is rare. List on cars.com and sell it quickly. You may be the only green out there. I like driving unique colors. Others do too.

I can't buy that line of crock, myself. I've not seen that anywhere I've been!

Morons.
That pretty much sums it up. Obviously know nothing about the business they are in.
I know why you are needing to trade it in, and I know if you had your way you would rather not be. Wish I was in a position to help. Heck, I'd buy it if I could!

On another note. My wife has to start wearing a hard hat at her job on Monday. There's no good reason for it, somebody just wanted to make another rule.
So I painted up this one today for her. Don't know if I will get it in clear in time though...
