Great job, both with the end product, and how you shared the details!

Looks good man, Adds 10hp Color looks great. This should be added to the DIY sticky. There is currently not a caliper painting one on there.....

I'm glad this DIY has helped some people tackle this time consuming, but relatively safe and easy appearance mod. The beauty of it is, you pick the color and what decals (if any) you want to apply. The key was unbolting the brake line mount which is about 16" away from the caliper, this allows you to pull that caliper out into the open, paint both the front/back of the caliper and protect the car from overspray. I do recommend doing 2 calipers at once because it allows you to alternate painting one caliper while the other is drying.

It would be nice if Chevrolet would offer painted brake calipers as an option like they do on the new Corvette. Oh well.

Do you remember who did you bought the decals from? i searched ebay and there are plenty for the Brembo decals but only a few will do the correct Chevrolet pattern.

Here ya go. They're kind of hard to spot at first because the photo the seller uses is of a stock SS Brembo caliper, not the STICKERS! You can order any color combo you want. I wanted as close to 1LE look as possible, so I specified White CHEVROLET and black BREMBO (make sure you specify what color you want). If you look real close, you'll notice the font isn't "exactly" the same as the 1LE calipers, they balloon out in the center - meaning the middle letters are phyically larger than the first and last, but it's so close, no one has called me out on it. $16 and he makes the front stickers larger than the rears too.

Thanks for this DIY. I did it over the weekend and the job came out great. My decals... not so much. Like you said you need to be sure to place them EXACTLY where you want them because they are not coming off. I would suggest trimming down the paper to align them better. Despite my mistake I am very satisfied with the results.
