It's been noted several times in many threads that the trailer hitch is there for test purposes, mostly for pulling test equipment behind the test car. As well, over the years I've seen many "muscle cars" with trailer hitches on them for towing boats, show cars, etc. Try getting a grip on reality, not everyone buys a "muscle car" for nothing but drag and/or other racing!

Towing something with your Camaro is almost as unforgivable as the person that dinged up the one in the picture. /cry

It is most likely one of the original prototypes from Australia Holden we first saw last year.

Australia has some silly rule about amber turn signals on all cars I think.

My guess is at this point, this particular car that the photos were taken of has racked up some serious milage and abuse. I would love anyone with the Camaro team to tell us how well the IVERs and prototypes have been doing, and how many miles they have racked up on them now.

to add to that, amber lights work the same way as red ones do, so for testing it doesn't make a difference.

My guess is due to the apparant age of the pictures, these would have been taken before the abduction of Shunt.

I hope that there's some sort of subtle nod to us loonies on this board that goes into the production Camaro. Like maybe the trunk floor or spare tire retainer or light bulb cover has part number "5HUN7" or something.

That would be great. I know Scott said the Camaro core team got a really big kick out of the whole saga, so maybe they will do a little something like that.

That would be pretty sweet. Maybe we can order a "2011 Camaro5 Special Edition Camaro Z/28" with a rope hanging out of the back with the words "Shunt in truck, DO NOT PULL - Camaro5" printed on it in tiny letters, with stylized "Camaro5" badges on the dash, and grill, with all the members names (screennames, and real names) printed in the front of the owner's manual with this above the names -- "From the Camaro Team, To the Camaro5 Fanboys, Thanks for driving us crazy", all of this at about $25 over the price of the normal Z/28 (about the price of rope at Lowe's).... too much to ask for??

Sry..... I have an active imagination.
