I messaged you back.

I've had a couple inquiries on the calipers. They're painted black but they are silver underneath. They need seals (~$30.00 per caliper).

I was going to strip off the paint then changed my mind, so they need to be stripped and left the original silver, repainted or powder coated.

A lot of people powder coat them anyway, so for $200.00 they're a pretty good deal. I'll try and take some pics this afternoon.

R1 Concepts is currently selling their E-Line rotors for $342 shipped and their Premier rotors for $500 shipped for a 2009-13 CTS-V. That's all four rotors, so a great value for anyone looking to do this upgrade.

Must be a Canada thing? . As an FYI most lines are made to order and can take time if your shop doesn't have them in stock.

I have to say Tyler from JDP is great but I needed them ASAP so I got them in through whomever had them on hand. Otherwise, the order would have been through JDP!

I also didn't "need" my big breaks but it was well worth the money I spent. Now it looks like a real performance sports car with massive calipers. And the Goodridge break lines look amazing as well and are visible when your looking at the wheels and brakes.

Total noob question (and admittedly without having read all 10 pages):

What about the rear brakes? Is the front the only area needing upgraded?

If you have a SS then no need because all the rear brembo set ups are the same size.

Yes, rear SS brembos and CTS-V brembos basically the same. They sit different on the cts but you don't need to touch yours on the Camaro

Cadillac CTS-V, ZL1 and SS all have 4 piston calipers. No need to change them. If you are wanting 6 piston rears then you will have to get aftermarket calipers. Really I see no need for 6 piston rears since the fronts are the work horses. Although, someone may give some reasoning to do the rears, at this time I see no need to change them unless you want the paint to match. In that case you will need to get the CTS-V gen II rear calipers but they are not an exact fit you need to swap the cross over tubes to make them work properly.

For the price they are I would just send them all off for powder coating and have them match or paint them yourself.

Just got done reading all 10 pages and I agree. I'll probably upgrade the rear lines & fluid, paint the rears to match, and call it good.

I may do what Powhusku did and upgrade the rotors the the drilled/slotted Brake Performance rotors. Otherwise I'll focus my money on the fronts.

Thanks for the responses all!
