About $10 (I bought some turtle wax Cherry scented car wash.....at least I think it smells like cherry!)...I didn't buy my car to mod it, I bought it to enjoy it just the way it was :-)

You may and can call it whatever you want , except investment , there is no return from that money , but if one sees the fun one can have with that money as a return , then that's what it is .
Pretty much, but back to the OP:
I'm at $1700, and I have owned my car for 3 weeks.

When I factory ordered my 2011 2LT back in mid 2010, here in Canada MSRP about $4,500 more than you folks paid in the US (that was when US & Canada $ = same). Did knock them down a few thousand, but still paid 18% in Canada taxes. But paid cash so no finance changes.

Mods: Clear bra, window tint, sequential tail lights, de- badged all myself but added a blank grill insert to replace front bowtie, custom painted satin black "sport" panel between tail lights. Recently, changed exhaust system, about $1,300.

So after more than 3-1\2 years about $3,700 only on mods (includes high Canada taxes). I am a low mileage driver in my 60s and when I bought my Camaro considered this might be my last new auto. Do not have plans to sell in the future but who knows. Frankly, I also have a one family, low mileage, summer only 1998 Riviera and during the same time I owned the Camaro most likely spent the same on the Riviera just to keep it factory stock pristine.

Besides typical stuff like maintenance, add $120 a year for Krown rust treatment, and annual pro detailing service $180 and my daily driver Camaro only is driven at average 1,500 miles per year. Cost per mile with mods, high. Pleasure per mile priceless.

Considering a wheel change in the future but not yet found a style that is a "must have".

$300 for the intake and $400 for the exhaust and $30 on spray paint for under the hood, so about $750 give or take a few.

Once I got over 7-8K in mods I stopped counting.... I put down like 9K, I traded in a 2 year old Malibu I bought for 20.... I'm balls deep in this car.

So........heres my strategy-put $$$$$$ in her Jeep, then there is really no argument when it comes to putting $$$$ in the Camaro, win win either way.....I can end up driving either an awesome Jeep, or an awesome Camaro.....the only problem with tnis strategy? Well my wife is super generous and would give me the shirt off her back if need be. When she has any extra money she will usually spend it on me or our daughter first before she spends any on herself. So un a nutshell-tbere really is NEVER an arguement...
Another little bit of strategy- when I upgraded the Camaro, I made sure I got ALL the bells and whistles up front, that way I dont need to add tnem down tbe road
Post pictures of the Jeep!
