No offense, and not to step on anyone's toes, but how do you know it's not the tune? Did the tuner tell you that? To me it sounds like that is exactly the issue.

I had the same issue, increasing cranking fuel fixed it.

My problem is that it seems to be so random, I dont know when I should step on the throttle while cranking. By the time I realize it is turning over more than usual, and go to push the throttle, it has been long enough for it to start.

well i just a cam installed a while back.. it started to do it after a month.. and now it does it every i let the car sit from 10mins- few hours.. still cant figure out whats wrong.. but it will usually start on the 2nd start up

I bought a 2010 SS about a month ago. It exhibited the same behavior stock and also is still doing it after the cam. Seems to occur more after the motor is warmed up.

it cant be the tune because it only does it sometimes. if it were the tune it would do it everytime

If you put the gas pedal to the floor when starting, the car will go into clear flood mode and will definitely not start.
