Who are some the best speed shops in Houston?
I went an checked out LMR. I like what they offer but I'm but surprised in the dyno numbers compared to the prices.
My goal is to get my L99 above or at 500 wheel horsepower. I see a lot of people say S/C or Turbo are the way to go. I'm not to keen on either choice. I am really looking to do a heads, cam and bolt on car. Now I may be way off on my hopes and reality! I am just asking for any help or ideas. Feel free to chime in here or PM me. Thanks |

Yup... great shop and will be the place to go to make this happen.
To get 500 on an L99 is almost impossible, so you need a very meticulous build. Porting/polishing and all to get there. Also, a dyno number is just that and various from machine to machine. You need to hit the track to get some trap speeds. Search around on here and you will find some 500 builds. Most are LS3 M6, but it will give you a good idea of everything you need. |

G-Force in Pearland is a great choice. Can't go wrong there or J-Rods speed shop in Rosenberg who did my build.

Clearlake Speed is down there. I know Bobby, if you want a nitrous setup, that guy is killer.

500 rwhp with a L99 without N20 or boost is a tough goal to achieve but certainly not impossible. It is more cost effective to just go Procharger and be well over 500rwhp with almost stock gas mileage, but with cam and heads you will certainly get that "Sound" everyone wants.
Please feel free to give us a call or stop by the shop to discuss your goals further. |
