Do you have your stock cap? I've heard it was only necessary on high hp applications but I really doubt that it would help at all no matter the power range...

It is really a weird situation. I think the better your rings sealed the more crankcase pressure you build. That is my guess any way.

So I popped the nipple out of the engine breather and the noise has definitely gone away. The only issue I come across is sometimes coming to a complete stop my car will stall out. This only seems to occur right after I punch it a little hard. Any ideas on what's the issue? Spark plugs, or torque converter maybe?

Did you feel a difference when you popped the value? Also check your catch can and make sure it's not full. The breather has the tendency to fill it up prematurely. It being full causes stalls and unstable idle.

Just drained it and not much came out, so I'll go on and see if the problem continues. Its happened 3 times since ive gotten the turbo kits installed, all of which when Ive come to complete stops after giving it a good punch

Sounds like the engine is maybe lacking fuel after a hard run. Also if you haven't already check for lines that could of blown off. Like on the solenoid for the boost control or by the wastegates and BOV. And the catch can lines. Just little things to check first with a turbo car when things start to act weird.

You can't see the turbos from the engine bay very easily.

So what ever happened with the stalling issue? And HPTurbine do you ever stall out coming to a stop? I could see how that could be a problem. Even stock when I'm slowing to a stop the rpms dip down a lot when it's downshifting..

All you'd see is that the air intake goes down instead of ending where your filter is...

I love when people want me to pop the hood. then they become quickly confused I haven't had the stalling issue. when I come to a quick stop my rpms dip low but come right back up.

he needs to turn the idle screw on the carburetor and bring up the RPM a bit...

maybe OPs got low fuel pressure. high enough for a stock engine to run but low enough for a boosted engine to starve

if so, one of his pumps has probably been on the way out for a while but just wasn't bad enough to notice without the boost?

just an idea to check on.

It has more to do with the variable valve timing in these cars, it takes a second for it to know what timing needs to be set at for the cams and at what airflow.

I can't seem to find my idle screw, and the carburetor seems to be sitting sideways..

Seriously though, I'm thinking it might be too much gas after a hard WOT run and then immediately slowing down. I've heard IPS tunes them on the rich side just to be safe.. so maybe going from full pedal and dumping gas straight to closing the throttle probably just makes it stall when the rpms dip down?

Have you check the spark plugs?

No it may be a indication if it's a lean or rich condition causing it.

It was the engine breather causing all the issues, the noise and the stalling has ceased.

P.O.S. breathers, just for looks and blowing up your engine.
I really want this kit... but installing it myself will be fun
