If mine goes I will replace it. Just like anything else. If your heater core goes... it's under warranty. They'll fix it. They aren't going to recall something that doesn't represent a major potential for revenue loss. Haven't you ever seen fight club?

Lol good one.... fight clue.. Ok tyler...Let me show you our warranty...

... your powertain warranty covers
Engine coverage includes all internally lubricated parts, engine oil cooling hoses, and lines. Also included are all actuators and electrical components internal to the engine (e.g., Active Fuel Management valve, lifter and oil manifold) cylinder head, block, timing gears, timing chain, timing cover, oil pump/oil pump housing, OHC carriers, valve covers, oil pan, seals, gaskets, manifolds, flywheel, water pump, harmonic balancer, engine mount, turbocharger, and supercharger. Timing belts are covered until the first scheduled maintenance interval. Exclusions: Excluded from the powertrain coverage are sensors, wiring, connectors, engine radiator, coolant hoses, coolant, and heater core. Coverage on the engine cooling system begins at the inlet to the water pump and ends with the thermostat housing and/or outlet that attaches to the return hose. Also excluded is the starter motor, entire pressurized fuel system (in-tank fuel pump, pressure lines, fuel rail(s), regulator, injectors, and return line), as well as the Engine/ Powertrain Control Module and/or module programming.
- For trucks equipped with a 6.6L Duramax diesel engine, the diesel engine, except those items listed under “What Is Not Covered” later in this section, is covered for 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.

If your car even has an extended warranty i don't know how they could cover the heater core when it specifically states here that its not covered.. maybe the bumper to bumper covers it but thats after 36,000 or 3 years.... So show me where they are going to cover the heater core.. i have the platinum warranty which is 5 years or 100,000 miles... i have to renew bumper to bumper... but my point is that some of these guys are getting stuck with a 1,700 bill on a part they have no control over.... I explained the recall of the key.. but let me tell you again.. they are recalling our flip keys because your knee can hit it and shut the car off... with is that?? are giants somewhere buying these cars and complaining about the key in mass numbers?? i never heard of anyone hitting there knee with the key.. i bet it was one isolated incident and the guy crashed and made up some b.s. story about the key and now the insurance companies wants chevy to change they key..( just sounds insanely stupid) ... I'm just saying if they see this as a hazard they might do something about it or look into further,,, whats it gonna hurt??? “Welcome to Camaro Club. The first rule of Camaro Club is: you do not talk about Camaro Club. The second rule of Camaro Club is: you DO NOT talk about Camaro Club! Third rule of Camaro Club: if someone yells “ford”, , or mustang out, the camaro thread is over. Fourth rule: only two guys to a thread fight. Fifth rule: one thread at a time, fellas. Sixth rule: the threads are regular fonts . No , no comic sans, no wing dings. Seventh rule: threads will go on as long as they have to. And the eighth and final rule: if this is your first time at Camaro Club, you have to start a thread fight...... lol I'm just saying fill it out just in case....

Hah. I like the theme of your post. My fight club reference was pointing at the nature of recalls though. They recalled the keys because if you turn the car off and get into a wreck without an airbag and die... it's gonna cost them a fortune in a lawsuit. The heater core deserves a TSB, which may or may not already exist... I don't know.

Bumper to bumper will cover it. That is unless it was caused by doing a hose relocation. I want my crappy clutch and TR6060 replaced because the pedal sticks to the floor and my 2nd and 3rd gears grind regularly when I'm beating on the car. Design flaws happen.. factor your experience into the next car brand you decide to purchase.
