great news, i just dont like the fact that mustang sold as many as they did, being i work for a chevy dealer, since taking delivery of my iom maro on july 2nd. and it being here on the lot all day every day,we have taken orders from at least 7...i think g.m. should give me a little kickback since some people will not buy a car sight unseen...lol...would'nt that be great, salesmen are coming to me at least 3 times a week for my key to show someone...maybe g.m. could trough in a cai, since i have already put the gmpp exaust on her....that would be great, but of course surely wont happen

Not much of a surprise, there is a backlog of orders for this car. I never see more than one on the dealer lot around here. And it seems most are sold already. Drive by any Ford dealer and you'll see multiple 2009 and 2010 models on the lot.

i wana see more challenger sales. more challenger sales would prolly mean less camaro sales, but i would wana see a variety of pony cars on the road. i like variety lol its the spice of life. lol i would wana see camaro on the top of the sales, then challenger, then mustang. lol

Well, remember GM had an exceptionally great August 2008. The good news is that the numbers for NOW are the best since the downturn in the industry occurred and by far the best results for 2009. Congrats to the New GM on a strong performance.

Do they give a model production percentage breakdown? 1LT, 2LT, etc. Seems to be a small amount of 2lt's produced.

I think it is still a rare car. Camaro production is still low compared to many other cars, but it isn't a mainstream car. We probably won't really see many until there are a couple hundred thousand on the road. Also, I think the produced numbers vs delivered numbers might be a bit misleading. I would venture to say the delivered numbers indicate deliveries within the United States and may not include Canada, Mexico or any other place that is in extreme need of American Glory. I was looking at other cars that are enthusiast cars. I'm not trolling, but the Prius is a tree humper enthusiast car and it is selling massively around the world. In Japan alone, it sold almost 30,000 units in August. The Prius is a mainstream car that is technically exciting, but the doorstop shape just doesn't do it for me. What I like about GM is the diversity of the lineup. Same with Ford. Good diversity. Toyota has been a bore and Honda is well on its way. If GM continues on its current track, our garage will have the Silverado Hybrid to replace our Dodge Dakota, Volt to replace our Civic Hybrid and Z28 convertible just because it will be rediculous cool.

Question

Just curious...since we are talking stats here what accounts for the 2002 Camaros that were produced in August and not delivered?
