I think the real problem here is not that the cars aren't shipping but that everyone expected it to be a perfectly smooth experience with no hiccups along the way.

I can't speak for everyone one. I'm personally not upset because I'm not too picky on the color and I think I found something in transit that is going to work for me and hopefully I won't have to wait too much longer but...
I placed an order months ago and I just don't understand how cars that are made today seem to be shipping within days of being built when my car which was made 34 days ago isn't ready to ship. Other cars are in transit to my area. If it's going to take a month to fix a bad car then build another one and ship that and then offer the original car as dealer stock when its ready. Not only did I order it a long time ago and obviously I'm a fan but I put down a cash deposit. Even if it's only 2% paid for that car should be a priority order. I get that its complicated but not "you ordered a white 2ss which isn't ready but we just made another white 2ss and it's on its way to a dealer lot as of a week ago complicated" |

The first dealer I went to, I told him folks were getting their orders in and posting their build sheets, and that I wanted to do the same. He told me that was impossible. So, because I don't appreciate being called a liar, I went to another dealer. Entered my order, got my build sheet. Smooth as butter.

Just so people know, a QC problem is not exclusive to early builds. Such crop up from time to time, we are noticing the possibility now because so many Gen6 early builds seem to be in the QC Hold corral.

Does being at 4200/4300 status for 3+ weeks mean quality control? I would think that would be 3800 status. 4200 means shipped. How do you QC a shipped car?

They can be pulled back after they were initially released for shipping by GM. So my order for example went to 4200 from 3800, then 3 days later went to 4300 appearing to be on its way, but then went to 4B00 a few days later and has been bayed for 10 days now, so it is possible.

Same here, waiting is killing me! Now I just checked my dealers website and they have an incoming one with a VIN of 115636! That is the lowest I have seen!
