$500 towards purchase for new GM card owners?
Has anyone heard or seen anything about getting an additional $500 towards purchase for new cardholders on the GM buy power / extended family cards? I was browsing local dealer and noticed this inconspicuous offer but can't find anything about it on the internet. Called Capital One and they hadn't heard of it but they aren't really tied to GM so promotion may be independent. I also contacted dealer about it but all TX dealers close Sunday and I'm supposed to take delivery at a different dealer tomorrow.
Here's what the dealer's website has for details: Description: General Motors is announcing an offer in conjunction with the GM extended family card and buypower card. I got a total of 2000. 750 for my gm card and an additional 500 for qualifying for the gm buy power card. I was awesome.

So.........??? If we get approved for a buypower card we get $500 off??? Get out of here! Is this true?? And like samsumon asked does anyone know if its stackable with private offer?

I don't know if every dealer is participating or not? When I took delivery last Monday, my salesman couldn't find anything on it. I went ahead and took the car rather than wait to see if the $500 thing would happen but for those still shopping I'd say it's probably worth at least asking!

So, these points are the ones some people are also selling on these boards correct??
Someone is offering me $1500 for $1k.. Right now my current discounts are Supplier Farm bureau Either private offer or some sort of GM 1k off discount So, I can ALSO add this? |

GM credit card (Capital One) rep said they didn't know anything about this? Has anyone confirmed?
