New to the Camaro

Hello all!

So, for my 27th birthday present, I decided that I'd finally treat myself to the platform that I've wanted to get in for many years, the LS platform. After 6+ months of searching, I finally found the one for me, and it turned up right here in my hometown, Charleston, SC. I found my beautiful 2013 Black 6MT 1SS Camaro (pics included) with 35,000 miles on her.

I've driven sports cars before, but never American muscle, like this, and so my power platform has been limited. I've adjusted well over the past week or two to driving it, as its pretty easy to drive! I've driven rotaries and Japanese cars predominately, so this was a nice change.

I haven't done anything more than put my 2 10's, amp, and cap. in the trunk and get that all wired up, wash and wax her, but I may have some expendable money with the tax season finishing up (maybe around 500-1000$ tops). I've been looking into some things to do and though my current budget wont support all of these mods, I may be able to do some or find some suitable alternatives for cheaper:

1. Lethal Racing Nightfury cam, lifter springs and headers with it.
a. While I'm at it, I might as well put a sturdier/better timing chain on.
2. Kooks longtube headers.
3. Cat delete before O2 sensor (maybe?).
4. Intake
5. Tune (not dead set on either a custom/plug-n-play tune).
6. 1LE/ZL1 rims (maybe I can find someone to swap + cash).
7. 2SS/HID retrofit swap.

What are you thoughts and recommendations with that budget? I'd love to hear all of your ideas!

Beautiful ride! Go with your gut, follow your heart! Don't rush it... have fun! These rides turn out awesome with a few bolt-ons no matter which way you go.

Congrats. I live in the same area bought my 2010 about a year ago. JP at LSX tuning is the best around for LS motor tunes. PM if you have any questions or want to meet up and chat. First mod I'd do is exhaust then drive her for awhile, cheap easy exhaust work is what I did: resonator delete left the stock H, second cat delete and cherry bomb glass packs and stock headers.

SWEET RIDE!

Go with a quality CAI, an exhaust or muffler delete, and those Kooks and you're good to go!

Welcome and good looking car. Get ya some type of rock guards. The rear gill area takes a beating. And looks like you have a gill cover/vent thing that could do the same. I went with ZL1 addons front rock guards for 35$ plus shipping.
