Just got my 13 1LE in from shipping yesterday
Wow. I am truly impressed by the handling. I didn't think it was possible for such a heavy car to handle like this stock(minus pilot supersports all the way around.)
This might be the best handling car I've ever driven. Puts my last car, BMW 335xi with sport package, to absolute shame and quite a bit better than my car before that (2800 lb car with over 3K into track suspension) and a tiny bit better than my gutted track car 240sx (2400lb) that had 7-8k into the suspension I think my 335xi was a bit faster in a straight line with only a tune, but LT headers will probably get it up to par. |

I hated camaros before the 1le because they handled like boats. I was literally mindblown when I drove the 1le because I couldn't believe how they transformed (pun not intended) the fat pig. Welcome to the site and enjoy.

The 240sx was probably the most fun, but it was borderline impossible to drive on the street. That's why I say the 1le is better. In terms of actual handling, I'd have to say it was a little better than the Camaro, but it was so harsh and in daily able I give the edge to the 1le. It had a fully built sr20 that was pushing 400 to the wheels on pump gas. No ac, power steering, gutted and caged with 5 points, and a two way rear end made it not so fun as a daily. That was the only track car. The rsx still had daily amenities and was pretty fun for a cheap little reliable car. That had inverted monotube coilovers all the way around, badass clutch (exedy hyper single), shifter bushings, lightweight flywheel, sway bars, tower bars, poly/pillowball mounts for all the suspension, motor mounts, standalone ECU, Recaros, and basic engine bolt ons. The 1le is perfect though. Handles amazing, pretty good power, looks great, and it just feels so raw, but in a good way. It's also impossible to beat the sound of a LS3 with NPP Last edited by Antbox530; 04-09-2017 at 06:29 PM. |

A cam, headers and tune will match the power to the handling of these cars. It really wakes them up !!
Should be like that from the factory.

I was / am impressed as well. I would not have considered a Camaro to be honest, but for the reviews (Randy Pobst for example) and the lap times. Happy I got it. So used to turbo cars, it's really nice for a change to have a decent V8. I do miss the urgency of a modded turbo engine sometimes. I have to stop looking at turbo kits, will probably ruin the character of the car.

I guess it's pretty rare to follow through with a deal now a days. Just thinking about people backing out on deals gets me heated. |
