USB Takes a dump.

So at first I thought it was my IPod, but people where having the same problems I was having, but they have a Zune.

The IPod would play for a few songs then would just cut out. Now it doesnt play at all and the radio says "No Information was found for this device, you can remove the device."

But now I dont even plug in my IPod and my car tells me to remove devices. So i take it up to the dealership friday and they have no idea what the problem is, and he tells me to bring the car up Wednesday morning because he thinks its going to be an all day thing with fixing the recall and troubleshooting the USB problem.

My balls went into my stomach when he said "Just bring it up as early as you can so we can start tearing the inside out".

Problem with USB

I just picked up my 2SS on 9/18/09 and started having the same problem with the USB right there at the dealership. Dealer said he would look into it. Yesterday I got into the car and it would not even recognize that the cord was plugged into the USB Port. I tried everything unplugging it from the port, and plugging it back in. Then I unplugged the IPod and Plugged it back in. I even turned the IPod off and back on. Didn't matter what I did, nothing worked. However this morning I went in the garage and tried it again and it worked fine. I took the IPod and Cord out when inside and plugged it in and it worked. Went to my impala and plugged it in through the FM modulator and everything worked.

So I would be interested to know if anyone else is having this problem and what the solution is.

Otherwise, I love this freakin Car!!!!!! BTW no other problems found with the car

Constantly have issues with iPod. Often, if I disconnect the cable and reconnect it, it will recognize the iPod again. Sometimes I just give up and listen to XM. I will have to take it in to see if I can get this software updated.

See the Audio Forum for info on the PDIM software update. They just released a new version CE. My car was built 9/9 had still has version CC. It has some bugs, including the disconnects and always defaulting to the IPOD at startup if you leave it connected.
