That's just it, the MPSS4's are equal to the Vorti's for almost half the price. They are a great tire. But for example, Vorti is $190, MPSS4 $325 for the same size tire with the same traction in wet and on the track.

I'm sure it will come to me for what I want to do. Just a little frustrating that it's not black/white decision at the moment.

Is treadlife important? If not I would try out the G3s.

It's a performance car and we perform in it, so I understand tread life is NOT that important, but at the same time, would like to get 20-25k miles out of them. The car is garaged in the winter and we use it on the track and road course, but at the same time, we do not have a second set of wheels for just that. So we need something to drive all over the country, in every type of weather condition, then have fun on the track. We don't run below freezing, but it has to run good in extremely heavy rain, going through the mountains on a dark night also.

Supposedly Goodyear worked improving the many issues with the G2 and did improve them with the G3. I cant recommend them anymore going off of that because I never tired them and I know what the G2s were like..... scary in the rain, bad tread life (~9k for the rears DDing the car), no traction when cold. So based on all that, i think you have your answer...... Vorti again

The Vorti is a great tire. It is on a lot of performance cars in Europe, just not as popular in the US, thus the prices are half that of other brands made here. I have had couple different instructors at the road course give them a workout and gave great reviews of them. I posted a question in the Tires section about going with a 295/35 and if that is too much difference in diameter with the 275/45.

Vorti does offer a 315/35 that would work, but dang, that is a very wide, big tire and not sure that would be the best on a road course. Now a 315 with a 18" or 19" rim is a different story than with the 20" I run. I know I get 20-22 mpg now, don't want to get 15 mpg on the hwy and 8 mpg on the track..

They are the new MMR 32's. They are specially made, I think they are Flow Formed Forged 2 piece Cast Rims. I think they are made in Jamaica, where some of NASCAR rims are made.
