I walk into a Dodge dealership today, what do I pay for a Charger shatpack? $40k. I walk into a Cadillac dealer today and what do I pay for a CTS-V sedan? $60k. This bothers you doesn't it? You assumed the Cadillac was more expensive than it is. You can try your usual back-peddle and diversions but at the end of the day, I (and every other buyer) only paid $60k for the V, which is $20k more than a Dodge shatpack that is slower in a straight-line and around a track. I'm sorry this hurts your feelings.

Doesn't hurt my feelings at all I'll take the Dodge like the style better, just because it says CTS-V doesn't mean that I would buy it. I like the blend of old and new in the Dodge and don't like Caddy each to his own you like it so you have it good for you.

If I was going to spend 65k for a car I would get the Hellcat, and that's like saying your feelings are hurt because the Hellcat is very close in price to the CTS-V.

I think you are hurt that the Insurance is higher on the CTS-V than the HellCat

I agree with you (shocking). Hellcat is a lot of car for $65k and no one would ever criticize that purchase. I happen to like the Cadillac more than the Dodge, just my opinion. Although similar in price they have vastly different intentions and audiences. Some people on this forum think that car purchases revolve around quarter-mile times and attempt to distill every conversation down to that metric. Have I raced the V? You bet. But it feels downright lethargic compared to my other go-fast toys. The V is a balanced, powerful, luxury sedan with all the creature comforts to haul the kiddos around in. Nothing more. Why it keeps getting drug into this conversation I'll never know

Haha maybe, I dunno. We pay $64/month for full coverage on the V through USAA. The SS was $67/month and the Z06 is only $58/month but it is listed as recreational.
