liquidsmoke: I like the point you're making. Having traded my Camaro in on
A Ford Fusion in order to save for the ZL1, I've had a chance to compare
Chevy's connectivity package with Sync. Sadly, Sync is far superior to
Chevy's version. It's a shame.

Those other features you mentioned do not affect this interior design like a giant screen would.

I'm not against nav, but I think they'd have to redesign the whole interior for it to look right.
While I see your point, I don't think the current head unit looks like it belongs in the 2010 car OR the 1969 car.

This just ain't 60's retro IMO :

and looks NOTHING like it came out of this:

What we should be discussing here is that awesome steering wheel....

You said it yourself, if this isn't 1960's retro, I don't know what is.

Maybe I'd have more love for it if the screen lit up bright red and announced "WARNING, WARNING, DANGER, DANGER" when your seatbelts were unfastened or when your tire pressure was low!

It really is.
Sync is nice, but the credit should go to Microsoft.

GM needs to partner with someone to make up for lost time, or buy a company that's already developing a system.
There sinking too much money into onstar which is nothing more than a glorified lowjack that people subscribe to only to have peace of mind.

Somewhere inside GM, some one in charge thinks onstar is the answer, to a question no one was asking. I can hear them now, oh who cares about ford sync, we have onstar. Lol. Silly rabbits.

I tend to agree with all of that.

Someone like Google might be an interesting partner for GM. They tend to do, everything they do, better than Microsoft.
