How is the tire to front strut clearance with the Ohlins vs. the Z/28 DSSV's?

Wow ! Great Job ! The weight reduction is very impressive. Your Z/28 is really one of a kind. Love it.

Is that ride height intentional? Seems a bit high.

What grade steel are those cheap lugs? I would be concerned that they might not hold up.

We are going to be suspension tuning the car and are starting at OEM ride height that’s why it is high right now in the picture.

I will need to look into the lug nut steel grade? I presume it won’t be an issue but now you have me second guessing 🤔

Those tuner lugs look suspecious. Way back in time, there was a guy on here selling titanium OEM spec lug nuts.

Oh ok, maybe it's just the picture, but it looks a lot higher than OEM ride height.

I ran what I think were aluminum lug nuts for my track wheel set for a short while. Very light. It was circumstantial - track wheels needed spacers, only nuts on hand at the moment were the aftermarket light weight nuts.

The first heat cycle of the day they would loosen up and need to be re-torqued. A bit scary to think about. I re-torqued them every session, they didn't need it after the first one but I wasn't taking any chances. Regardless, it's good practice to check torque periodically throughout a day of sessions.

Did you go with the off the shelf 70/110 N/mm spring rates? How’s the ride compared to the Z/28 springs?DSSVs?

Any reason you opted for the Road & Track vs. the TTX stuff?

Standard 70/110 spring to start and we will be tuning that as we go. The car is much more nimble and responsive. I am hitting willow springs Raceway this Saturday Jan 27 to test it out and will get a review on the forum.

The TTX is spectacular. Ohlins came on with our program as a full sponsor and will be supporting in depth technical support through the 2018 season. They want to heavily test the the road and track coil overs to be able to confidently offer them to the Camaro market.
