the sales that xbox one might lose on those little kids who's momma's can't afford internet, will be taken up by the person that want's the entertainment factor/integration that it now comes with. Slightly different demographics between the two. PS4 is sticking to just the gamers, like always. xbox one is going for gamers and your average person that likes the social media aspect and some gaming. Although, what hardcore gamer doesn't have the internet anyway?

If M$ back tracks on the DRM it will. If they are stubborn with that it will lose.

Wow, so I never thought much of PS3 and I've loved my Xbox 360. Microsoft is really looking to kill gaming with Xbox One! Its not often that I'm without internet, but I really feel like I shouldn't have to prove that my games are legit every 24 hours. Not only that, but if my crapcast internet does drop out my world shouldn't stop.

Not entirely sure how I feel about the Kinect recording my every action either. Sure, they say you can turn it off, but Google also says they won't store info about sites you visit... but they do.

Sony may end up winning me over... that or I go full PC.

I really don't think the added TV and media things will matter. If you look at the current gen, the PS3 is much more "media centered" than the 360, and the 360 is much better at gaming. I think we are all in agreement that the 360 won this gen. The same thing could happen with the One. As a pure gaming console the PS4 is a no-brainer. Better hardware, more usable ram, no DRM, cheaper.

i'm not really up to par on the current gen consoles. busy time in my life, these past couple of years. what is the ps3 centered around for media?

I'm really looking forward to the voice control, and being able to Skype with family while watching a football game with them, also the fantasy sports aspect.

I've also heard a lot of women say they would rather buy the xbox one because it's not just for gaming, that they could use it as well. and we all know how much women influence our lives. lmao
