Installed a Vitesse throttle controller yesterday and got to really try it out today for the first time. There is definitely a big difference...wow! As many of you know, the settings go from 0 to 9. I think 5 is about as high as the setting needs to be for me. Really an amazing difference.

Once I make a few other mods, I'll get a real tune and then send this down the road but until then, it'll be a lot of fun.

It's the luck of the draw with these, for sure. No rhyme or reason between one car and the other for failure.

I have had mine 3 years and has been perfect. I am running it with a tune and a stage 2 ported throttle body.

But I understand it is NOT this way for everyone.

Debating on getting a dsx e85 kit. Probably not worth it on a stock engine with basically FBO

Based on everything I have seen here, you are likely correct. You are going to lose a ton of MPG for what, 10 rwhp and a nice smell? I have also considered it. It happens when I get bored but don't have a lot of $ for any big power mods.

But your end goal is what really matters. If you are stopping at bolt ons, I wouldn't bother really. If you plan to go further though (ie. cam, intake, FI), it will be worth it. But you will have to have proper fueling too, which is not going to be cheap.

I plan a cam later on. Will i always use E85? na. But i have a chance to get a SS3 vvt cam and push rids for a damn good price, so it may be worth it. Im still debaring on the VVT or LS3 conversion.

Ever get that wire installed?
