My SS is night and day different to the v6. It was a hell of a lot of fun revving an engine up to 7000RPM before shifting, but my old v6 was nowhere near as fun as my current DD.
I drove an SS. It wasn't a night and day difference. I can do 23 mpg in the city all day long just driving normally. Maybe your V6 was all sludged up?

I think it's more impressive getting 323-335 hp out of 3.6L N/A V6 than it is with 400 hp out
of a big honkin 6.2L V8.

Whenever these discussions get heated, the SS guys swoop in like vultures and talk stupid stuff about the V6 Camaro. I don't see that happening on the Mustang or Challenger forums.

It's gotten so bad around here that the true knowledgable people who were trail blazing good power gains out of these engines have moved on to other forms of social media like the Facebook group pages. That's a wealth of good information that is now missing from these forums.

Some very immature people on this site, I'm so surprised well not really. Most of these people didn't live in the 60's 70's when the real cars were running the roads. Certainly not as quick as todays cars but BIG torque and tons of mojo. My 55 could fry the tires at 55 mph in 3rd gear just by standing on the throttle. That's something special when you have a date in the car trust me. Its also something none of you will ever experience. HEEEE

My v6 was purchased brand new with 33 miles on it.

I'm talking about 2 tuned vehicles. The SS opened up a lot with a tune, the v6 was pretty much where it should be tune wise and power, just needed a good amount of fueling adjustments because GM ran them way too lean from the factory. Relied far too much on the knock sensors to keep the car in check.

I'm not talking out of my ass like some owners do, I have physically owned both vehicles, and both sides of the coin.

I'm also not against v6s, my one project car, and car that I love the most in my fleet is a v6 powered Monte Carlo that I have procharged.

I'll bet that supercharged 3800 is pure pleasure to drive. I had a 98 Camaro with the 3800 in it that ran fantastic with just a tune and 3:73 gears. Got 21-25 mpg and a blast stop light to stop light. It was stripper model with crank windows light and fun.

I live in PA too in the Poconos mts with a sexy black Camaro LMAO

It's a blast, but still working out kinks. I used to have a 98 bright purple metallic camaro with the 3800 as well.

I'm actually from the Poconos. Grew up a little ways down the road from Wallenpaupack

No much difference? Look at every guy that's gone from a 6 to an 8 over the years.Nobody says there's not much difference....nobody except you. I think the v8 guys will calm down once posts like that stop. Look at sll the threads going on here about the v6 and speed. They are all started by v6 guys. This is a perfect example of the norm. The guy you quoted has gone from a 6 to an 8....he says there's a big difference like most do... your response? No theres not much difference haha.
