I believe the Boss has a different clutch assembly and thus has not been plagued by any transmission issues like some of the 5.0s have. The Pill can correct me if I'm wrong.

What more can be done to the Boss, I assume the chassis is already maxed out, as it is a factory built race car? The motor, I think is already being pushed to the limits in N/A form, the car already has a great exhaust system. Brakes are top notch, Tires?

People have hit over 500 whp in the new 5.0's, there's still plenty left for the boss.

There is a shop who hit 500whp N/A, but that was with a very aggressive H/C/I set-up, so it can be done!

500whp with a blower is easy, we made 575rwhp with a 2.3L Whipple, kooks and TB on a 5.0L. The Boss has better internals so it can take a little more boost with no issue.

The 5.0L is for sure a very efficient motor, 5.0L vs 6.2L. But it doesn't have the bottom end torque like the Camaro, and with its OHC set-up slightly more expensive and time consuming to work on. But in my opinion, NOTHING sounds as good as a cammed LS motor

And now your talking about modding a factory modded car to keep up with a camaro with a few parts What is with you ford guys... the fastest car is the one with the most money in the right places... it dont matter if its a ford or chevy! Get over it... now the ford guys are pissed because the Boss was taken by a camaro with a cam... what did you think, thats what I said earlier...add a cam to a camaro and its over! Its not like the boss is in a ZR1 playing feild!

I think the point being conveyed here is that in once the modding begins on the motor, you'll be pulling the engine on your SS to overtake a car the SS was never intended to compete with. Technically the BOSS is still bone stock from the factory, it's a purpose built car. That would be like me bragging about how I can beat on stock C6 Vettes in my 93 Rustang. It's a fact that I can do it, now that I've yanked the motor on my car and dumped a few thousand into it

Bad70supreme, that's the exact point, so essentially it's "what is it with you chevy guys?" Bone stock for bone stock the boss beats the camaro. Mod for mod, the boss will beat the camaro. However if you mod one then not the other, obviously things can change (as is evident by reef's point).
