I will have had my car for 1 month as of tomorrow. I only have 310 miles on it and it already has 6 paint chips in it. Needless to say im not very happy. Im taking it to the dealer tomorrow for them to install a new drivers seat. I've told them about the chips but will have to wait and see what tey have to say about it when i get there. I have a 11 year old Trans Am . I went over it and not 1 chip. If this Camaro is going to keep getting paint chips in it at this rate they can have the car. I gave up to much to get this car to have it looking like this.

Mine was built in January 2011, and I have a bunch of little chips on the nose below headlight level. I'm kinda surprised I have so many so soon. :(

I just stripped off the factory paint and repainted my front fascia using paint with a flex agent. It is supposed to make the paint less prone to chipping. I'll let you all know if it's any better at the end of the season.

My camaro has 23,000 miles on it and has several chips on the door panels most noticeably, no way a pebble would have done it by the angle. I too feel the paint isn't very durable.

Every car with bar covers (facias) has a flex agent added to the paint from the factory. If it didn't it would crack as soon as you pressed on the cover. It makes it less prone to cracking/peeling, not chipping.

I am still waiting for the dealership to call me back and schedule an appt to have it fixed (they don't know whats causing this problem). Does anyone have these chips around their spoiler? Mine are located at each end of the spoiler on the deck lid, clearly not in a place that could have been hit by a rock or something else.
I have had my 2011 for about 3 months, 2300 miles. After 2 months, I noticed the paint chipping/peeling on the rear fascia. The chips are on the top of the rear fascia, directly under the trunk lip. There were 2 of them on the fascia, one each directly below each end of the trunk lip. This is very similar to the chips that others have reported under the rear spoiler. I checked, and the trunk lip is not rubbing the fascia, nor do I remember rubbing against or hitting those areas in any way. There is no way a pebble could have gotten between the trunk lip and the top of the fascia. I can only surmise that the paint actually chipped or peeled on its own. Sorry no picture, but I've already hit these 2 areas with touch-up paint. The only good thing is that the lip of the trunk does partially hide the paint chip.

I'll be keeping my eye out for any new chipping or peeling.

I'm a bit disappointed about this. When you spend $30K for a car, you don't expect the paint to start chipping off!

i bought my 2010 2ss on oct 8,2011 with 25k miles on it. in just 2 days the entire front bumper and in front of the rear wheel are covered with chips in the paint. im hoping gm or the dealer will do something about it. it looks so bad!!!! like seriously only 2 weeks and chips are everywhere and its the maroon color or whatever they name that color so it is very very noticable. im going to have the dealer check out the clutch to because it makes alot of clunking noise! i love this car but man having some regrets after reading this thread

I had to have my trunk lid repainted under warranty. The paint was missing on both sides of the rear spoiler. This turned into a nightmare as the dealership first put my custom ss badge upside down then chipped the paint and dented the trunk getting it back off. They did make it right in the end but still a nightmare.

same problem

i have a 2011 ss which i take very good care of, always wash with low pressure, micro fiber and wax once a week, garage kept (climate control) i was washing my car at a local car wash on a road trip and i passed the pressure washer past the front bumper fast and not close at all. the paint parted at the peak of the front bumper, came off like dust, i couldnt believe it... i didnt have 1 imperfection on my car, not one and then this.. i had 6400 miles on it, i called the chevy/gmc usa 800 number, they said bring it to the dealership it was shipped to and they will check it out. they said they would repair it for free.....

Obviously there are some problems. White seems to have alot of problems. However, I drive my SW 2011 to work every day and there is not the first sign of a chip or peel anywhere. It's never been in a garage. 11,000 miles and 14 months old.

What's with that????

I noticed few "chips" in really strange spot - under the spoiler on both sides. There is absolutely no way any rock can hit there! neither spoiler is not that loose that it could have moved and caused this. Completely crazy, anyone else notices issues in same spot??

oh - should have read other posts more carefully, "drape487" just few messages before complained about the very same issue. did they give any explanation what caused this?
