Now wait one cotton pickin' minute (that's some Texas talk for y'all)...when I read the statement: "The best looking guy in TCC, my husband Kevin,..." I made the incorrect assumption that Jen was heaping it on...now I know you wrote that Kevin

October's Meet
The club had a blast at Modern Muscle Shootout this past weekend in Bradenton, even though we couldn't race all day as planned. Bradenton has received more than their fair share of rain in recent days. The track started out OK, but it didn't take long before the staff realized the ground under the track was saturated and it was seeping up through the asphalt at the 1/8 mile mark (Paul, mrvenicess, can tell you just how exciting that made it for him). They tried everything to dry the track, but the harder they worked, the more water appeared. Most of us only got one or two passes in before they had to close the track. However, rather than coming home dejected, Florida Speed and Power put out a special "by invitation only" invite for Tri-County (and a few others) to come to the shop for an impromptu get-together. While there everyone had a very enjoyable time and then we stopped at a restaurant for dinner before the drive home in torrential rain. That part wasn't so much fun! Attachment 665110 We'll keep it closer to home for October, and hopefully much dryer… The club's next meet will be at Miceli's Restaurant on Matlacha on 11 October 2014 at 11:00am. Miceli's is one of the premier restaurants in our area and is owned by a fellow Camaro enthusiast--and as evidence of how Camaro folks take care of each other, Joe is offering a 25% discount to club members and families that day. This is one meet you won't want to miss! For those that'd like to Camarovan to the restaurant, please be at Cracker Barrel at I-75 and Palm Beach Blvd no later than 9:45. If you have FRS/GMRS Two-Way Radios please bring them as they make for great inexpensive communication between the cars!!! If you don't have the radios, please consider purchasing. Just think, when you're not using them for Camarovans, your kids or grandkids can have fun with them. I bought mine at http://www.amazon.com/Midland-GXT100...es+midland+gxt, but you can find them even cheaper at several stores including Bass Pro Shop, Walmart, RadioShack, BestBuy, etc Miceli's 3930 Pine Island RD N.W. Matlacha, FL 33993 Check out the restaurant at http://www.micelis-italian.com or the restaurant's Facebook page: Micelis Matlacha Here's something to think about for the club's January 2015 meet: ================================================== "1/2 Mile Shootout in Ocala Florida on January 24-25 2015!!! At Jumbolair Airport!!! I WANNA GO FAST!!! Well the time has come for our big announcement! Welcome the Florida 1/2 Mile Shootout on January 24-25th, 2015!! This event will be hosted at the Prestigious Jumbolair Airport located in Ocala, FL (only 90 minutes north of Orlando!) Be prepared to race on the longest privately owned runway in the country at a length of 7,550ft........that's 1.42 miles long!! The event will feature horsepower producing cool weather and is sure to set the stage for more multiple world record attempts! This event will surely prove to be one of the most incredible 1/2 Mile Racing Events in history! Our Title Sponsor TopSpeed Motorsports already has their bags packed Registration and Sponsor details will be announced in the coming weeks and our website will also be updated with this new location and pricing information. We look forward to having each and everyone of you out on the runway in January!!" ================================================== We understand there will be limited slots that we will each have to reserve if you want to see just how fast your Camaro will run. Sound like fun? We will each have to make our reservations in early November. Go to wannagofast.com and click on "sign up for event alerts!" so you can secure your spot for this great opportunity. Then watch your email for the notice of when you can register, and if you want to go, you will need to be one of the first to register. We expect to be able to register on 8 November, but that could change. This may well be a fairly expensive weekend, but one worth saving up for…maybe Santa will bring some extra cash to support this.
