There not the same, the head unit has 1 more antenna in it and its only for the nav shark fin, and buy the way you need to add a splitter that is not there for the non nav My link.

I know I did one for a local guy already. The splitter is actually available from GM for a relatively decent price IIRC. I do a ton of these conversions on various vehicles that use the same basic hardware, just a major pain in the butt.
