Well you have to use at least 91 in an SS.. or your car will be sluggish. I personally wouldn't use anything under 93, but different places have different gas, so use the best you can get.

Damn....with all these 93 octane users I'm kinda upset that Cali doesn't offer it...lol....wonder why? I mean I'm sure there are "some" that may have a higher octane gas but for the most part its ur choice os 87,89,91 or diesel..lol

Want to try it out and see for your self? you can ask guys that have driven my car and they will tell you that my car is not sluggish its faster there there car on 91.

No its not the only state that only has up to 91

Altitude. Running 93 octane would be a waste here, We don't get any performance gains out of it

There are other places that only have 91, for different reasons. But, it's not in California, because it's not really needed.





Running anything less then the recommended fuel on your car will stop it from running at it's optimum. No damage in using something less, but you won't get all the performance from your car.

Have you driven in a car you say needs only 91 buy was running on 87 ?

If not next time i see you in CA try it and tell me it is not at its optimum.

You have mods. It's like comparing apples to oranges.

It's been proven time and time again on here that people who use something lower than 91 have less performing cars. Hence, the fuse pull thread.

get 94 here.

And the 87 user cracks me up. The extra money saved on fuel is costing you mpg. It has to be real close to a wash dollar wise.

First got my car from your state, But what do you get in MPG i get on the freeway If i drive with out AC and only drive it under 2000RPM 31+ MPG and in the city 21 MPG so what do you get?
