FYI All but one oil change was done at a Chevy Dealership Service Department in the 5 years and 9 months that I have owned this car.

My brother and dad are auto techs and are willing to put a new engine but I wanted to try the GM route because it would be a new engine.

Lesson learned! No more extended warranties!

My car doesn't smoke but yet it still consumes a quart every 2000 miles or less. But yes I watch it closely. I probably check it every time I wash it or so. Sad you are having a problem.

You are the kind of customer GM loves. Go back to the dealership and jump up and down (preferably on the sales floor during a busy Friday afternoon). Re-iterate that you have had ALL your service done at the dealership and WTF? Out of oil? How could that be YOUR fault. You did EVERYTHING they told you to do. You are being screwed, get mad.

If that doesn't work just start crying, they will agree to do anything to stop that! There are advantages to being the fairer sex.

You have an extended warranty but it doesn't go past 5 years 9 months? What kind,of "extended" warranty is less than 9 months?

How many miles on it since the oil change? That could be a big deal.
