If I paint them I'll probably pull the the caliper off but not not take the brake line off. I figure I can just hold them out of the way.

Anyone remember the size of Brembo sticker they bought?

If you go to the G2 website they have a list of distributors. Hubcaps plus had the lower price when I ordered. I painted right over the stock decals.

Ghetto ? Lol. Way to liberal use of the the term ...

FYI : The "upper crust" Would have their calipers powder coated in the Swiss Alps with powder made from the flowers atop Mount kilimanjaro .

Painted with Duplicolor, and some high temp satin clear over top. I liked it, went on easy.

Still looking for suggestions on the Sticker size of the Brembos. I would think the fronts need a larger one than the backs.

What High Temp clear did anyone use? I found this on Amazon...not sure how well it would work since it says it's for exhaust and I saw somewhere that it needs to be light baked in an oven to fully cure. I don't really want to smell up the oven....the wife wouldn't be too happy.

LOVE these!!!

I am torn on going powdercoat or not. I've already been in contact with Mike. One min I want to go powdercoat then the other paint.

Ultimatley I think powdercoat would be the best but here are the cons. First off it's about $360 by the time everything is done. Second I would have to be without a car for at least a week if not longer by the time I do shipping back and forth. This is my daily driver so I would end up having to borrow a car.

Painting....may not look as good or hold up over time as powdercoat. I can do it within a day (two tops) and I'll only have about $60 in the deal.

I'm leaning towards giving the paint a try. Worst case it doesn't work out and I can then have them powdercoated. I'm pretty sure Mike would have to dip them or somehting to get them completely clean anyway.

I'm torn!!!

Every time I see your calipers from Mike I think....F@#% It....go powdercoat. Look how SWEET those are!

So you used the VHT spay on caliper paint? That's the first time I've seen it suggested.

Also, what did you do about the factory "Chevrolet" and "Brembo" on the calipers? Did you sand those off or just paint over them?

I still think if I go the painted route I'll remove the calipers, clean real good, use G2 paint, put on stickers, and use the VHT high temp clear.

search ebay those stickers are plentiful, calipers don't need to come off, but however you want to do it, clean is the key. Paint over the chevy and Brembo they are only painted on. The larger front decal is used front and rear.
