GM does not own the dealerships. The dealer can tell you anything they want and charge you anything they wont sadly. Sounds like your dealer did not have allocations. I checked with my dealer to make sure they had allocations before i placed the order then checked weekly to make sure the order went through on a timely manner. Ordered 6/9 car is built and ready to be shipped. Its all about allocation.

WOW!! Congrats! I ordered my Camaro on 6/9 and I'm still sitting on 1100. So I guess we don't have any allocation either.

I would check out some local dealerships and see if they have the car with the options i wanted, that is a heck of a long time! pre-order in everyone elses mind means "get it first" not sure what GM was thinking when they said be the first to own the new camaro when they werent sure if EVERY dealership would be able to get one.

Really sitting at 1100 since May or June isn't that bad. If you're still sitting at 1100 come end or Sept or October then you have reason to bitch. You're dealer just had a quite a few orders & didn't have the allocation for yours right away. When I ordered mine the dealer had 19 cars ahead of mine. I kind of figure mine won't be picked up from 1100 until Sept or Oct maybe even November. I'm ok with that because it'll be worth the wait.

Are you kidding me? I ordered mine 9 MONTHS ago and still no car! Got a VIN# two weeks ago. No other information.

Some of this allocation dosen't make sense . Another thread said if your R6P the dealer had the allocation . I was 1100 10/15/08 . 2000 7/20/09 . 2500/ 7/22 . 3000 7/22 . 3300 8/17 . Still no car and workbench 2 weeks said R6P . From what I read there is an exception to every rule .

I've been part of the 1100 club for 10 weeks. Going on 11. And yes my dealer is straight lying about allocations.

orderd my first new car jtr 2ss/rs 6 speed 3-23-09 at msrp NJDKXH. gm wont renew dealership .GM still tells me its a good order with alocation just waiting to be picked. what do you think?

I was the 4th camaro ordered at my dealer. Im just getting the run around. they said i was up for allocation july 24 but there was a constraignt on it due to the 6 speed. But i thought that problem was solved by then. Last thrusday they put it in again so hopefully it goes thru this time

Went to 3400 8/14 . Hope to have vin this week and car by Labor Day . After 10 months I have lost a lot interest in it , hope it changes my mind when it does get here .
