Its Duct tape.

Most Vinyl decals including the rally stripes on the Camaros are put on wet. I use just a drop of dishwashing soap in the water that allows the decal to slide real easy so you can get the best placement. Then you just use a credit card or squeegee to get the air bubbles out. The water dries and the decal is set! Check out some U-tube vids sometime and you'll see.

The lines are so narrow that chances of bubbles are rare and can easily be pushed out. Use a thin piece of tape to mark the bottom of where you want the decal and use that as a guide for placement.

True, but the interesting thing I found out is that because of the natural slope of the car and bottom of the small window if you use a level to place the decal, the car decal looks like its going uphill. So if I would have used a piece of tape put on with a level, I would have placed it wrong and would not have had the opportunity to replace it to look good.
