When I was gowing up my uncle had this 4-4-2 that was cammed and did 11 second 1/4 miles(pretty fast for the 80s mind you) and me and my brother would always want to go driving in it, but he said no everytime... finally after 5-6 years he let us, but under one condition, if we drive slowly. So we drove at our own version of "slow", not flatout by any means mind you, but when we got back he told us he knew we didn't drive slow(he ALWAYS drove it like a grandma when we were in it), but we didn't know how..... finally 10 years later he told us how, he had left a gallon of water upright in the trunk, and if it tipped over he knew we went "too fast". So that might be an idea for this father, let her borrow it if she drives slow, and he will know if she does, but she won't know how he knew.

Well my brother let me take is 1979 Trans Am to Homecoming...At least he intended to...I didn't make it 3 miles from home, before I hit a truck and tore the front end off of it...So my answer would be NO! NOT A CHANCE! Sorry....one day you will have your own and can tell your son or daughter...NO...not a chance...

oh, and in reference to renting one. I'm pretty sure the father can't rent for anyone under 25.

Get a group of friends together and rent a limo. It will be a blast to ride around in one with your friends, and much safer. You won't have to worry about driving or anything happening to your Dad's Camaro.

You know what, your dad knows you best
so if he wont let you take it its for a reason. How would you feel if you took this car to homecoming and someone decided to key it up? Knowing that your dad is crazy about the car... just sayin
