I just went from a 1LT to a 2SS. So for me, my interior is now much nicer, and of course, the engine is a monster. The extra HP is nice, but man oh man, all the extra TQ is awesome.

You don't want to bankrupt yourself, or be car poor, but if you can swing the extra monthly payment, then I don't think you'll be disappointed. Don't be surprised if you take a hit on the trade in, but you're young and in the end, you'll probably end up with what you wanted all along

Also, the more money you can put down, the better. 700 bucks is a pretty steep monthly payment.

I would save the money from the 2SS and go for the 1SS with the RS package. I could have done without all the 2SS interior options except maybe audio, but that can be done aftermarket for cheaper. It is the same power as the 2SS (obviously) and you can mod it with that money saved from the 2SS and really make it your own...

Absolutely go for it!! I traded in my '11 LT for my new '11 1SS/RS a few months ago! Holy crap! What an awesome car! I loved my v6 but no comparision to my v8! Tell u how it worked out for me money wise. My interest rate dropped when I upgraded. My payments went up by $36, ins by $50, same length term loan and only rolled 1k into my new loan. Ur not gonna walk away wo rolling some money into ur new loan but hopefully not that much. Id go and talk to a dealer and c what they can do.

Good luck!

I don't think you really want to know what "finance savvy" people here would tell you.

Maybe you should ask whoever is paying all your bills what they think you should do.

O wait. You have the money to tote the note, and you just want to know how much your note is going to go up. We'd need alot more information from you to tell you that.

ps Another Chevy, especially another Camaro, isn't "the dark side!"

I love my SS and I'm sure you would love the SS also, but have you thought of saving your money and waiting for the next generation Camaro SS
