Yea, I have been at 3000 for a month also. I did call the 1-800 number the other day and they said by early next week I should move. I guess i will find out shortly.

Good news, guys! I think FirstLSK is right!! They're really moving now! I just got off the phone with my inventory manager and he told me I'm in!! I'll be at 2500 on Tuesday with a TPW of 6/15-6/21! Woo-hoo!!! I am so psyched!! And on top of that, he told me I'm #2 of 6 orders he's putting in today. He said up until now, he's been lucky just to get one. It's coming, it's coming, it's coming!!!!!!!

Having ordered on 10-14-2008 and am still at 3000 for a MONTH, this process of delivering Camaros to the dealer is CONSTIPATED, the system need a good laxative...

If so, something must be amiss.
Yes, I do have an order number. I don't remember it, but it was approximately 6 alpa characters. Got this number pretty early.

There are so many rumors, it's hard to know what actions to take. Here are a couple rumors:

1. My order included the Hurst short throw shifter, which I understand from this board is still on constraint. My dealer told me that this option was automatically being removed and it would not hold up the order. Others have told me the dealer must explicitly remove it from the order. Which is true?

2. I talked to a dealer in Florida today who said that the RS package (which I also ordered) was on constraint until a couple weeks ago. I haven't heard this from anyone else and I don't think it is true. Is it?

In answer to your other questions: Yes, I trust the dealer. The whole reason I placed the order with him was due to my implicit trust in him.

I am hearing the order status from the dealer. They check daily.

They have not received any other pre-order cars. The only other car they received was one 6 cylinder car, which they did not receive in time for the unveiling on May 6. They had to borrow a car from another dealership for the unveiling.

It's a real conundrum. I can't figure out if the dealer doesn't really know how the "system" works, or they don't have any clout, or this is normal.

Thanks for your interest in my dilemma.

so production is ramping up, does anybody have a number as to how many Camaro's are being produced per day now? If production ramps up, do dealers get awarded more "allocation"?

If this is true, then GM deserves a BIG round of applause !!!

.
now get the ones built the f#$k out

Latest number mentioned in an artcle in another thread the other day says 440 per day or 2200 per week. The math says that's only 5 days but that article also mentioned Saturday work to so I dunno.

"theMole" and other reports said;

1. that they are slowly increasing the production line with the GOAL of reaching 440 a day. last week "theMole" said they were pushing 380.

2. Saturday shifts won't start till mid June

3. They are reducing a scheduled 2-week vacation to a 1 week vacation in June.

given that the latest vin i've heard on this site is 11524 which was issued about wed. It should not be to far from reason to believe the will finish 12400 tonight (fri may 22). Figure 2000 a week and you'll have #14400 out the end of next week May 29.

This is all guestimating from info gleaned from press releases, site post, a GM production report on Apr 15, but I obviously can't know the current truth.

Here is the big question? how will the CPT 11 actually affect the Camaro production?????
