Feel free to wait 20 years to find out.

But as everyone else has stated, it won't matter. A 2010 is a 2010. The only time production numbers really affect value is when you are talking low numbers (ie: under 1000) of a specific model.

You are probably right but I hope you aren't.

I have no plans to ever sell my SS so I will post the answer in 20 years.

25 years from now the car that will be worth the most is the 2012 ZL1 in IBM. Only 4 made 2 auto 2 stick. The cars are both rare and desirable. Sad to say but my SS will only be considered priceless to me. No one is really gonna care if a car is an R6P.

R6P may have a little more value with all documentation in mint condition. 2010 SS's I don't think will hold a lot more value than the others unless the cars were some of the first produced in 2010. Even then the important numbers like the first 3-5 were claimed by big money people at production time.

I agree on that 2012 IBM ZL1 for me it wouldn't be about the collector value even. Just the pure rarity & beautiful color. It'd be a garage queen that makes it's rounds a number of car show's & fun weekend cruiser every once in a while. That's why I've been adding ZL1 stuff to my car since I know I'll never get one of those 2012 IBM ZL1's.

Hmm yes they are. The only difference is the R6P's got a letter which can be duplicated. There is NOTHING on the car indicating that it is a R6P. If you do a vin look up on a car, the vin will NOT indicate that it is a R6P. There are certain combination's built that number in the couple hundred, these cars have a chance to be worth a little more. But a R6P car will not be worth more than a non-R6P with the same options and the same miles.

One of the few places that this shows up is on the window sticker and it says "EARLY ORDER ACTIVITY." I doubt the car will be worth any more because the original owner ordered it early.

You are wrong;
R6P is shown on the I.D. sticker on the inside of the trunk lid.
R6P has GM chicklets
R6P has GM Performance badge under the hood
R6P does not have rear sensors

They are NOT exactly the same.

They are NOT exactly the same.
ALL '10s up to about 30k have the chicklets.
ALL '10s up to about 30k have the Performance badge under the hood.
ALL '10s up to about 30k do not have the rear sensors.

Also lets not forget that there are some R6P that was made after this VIN cutoff and do not have the chicklets, Performance badge, and do have the rear sensors.

They are EXACTLY the same.

The chicklets and the badge can be bought from any GM dealer or online for fairly cheap (I bought all three for under $50 total when I bought my car), and the bumper can be replaced. A local body shop makes the ID stickers and replaces them for whenever they have to do body work in a location where one is or the owner requests a different color then the car came with from the factory. They will sale them to the public and put anything on it that you want.

It's been stated, R6P was an RPO code for those people who ordered the Camaro before the official start of the build for 2010. They are just a little bit more special, but I doubt that will add a ton of money to the value.

By the way, the R6P code shows up on the RPO sticker in the trunk, and that sticker can NOT be ordered by any body shop guy. I think it's funny though that people are already asking about collectibility, and even care what R6P is. That one fact shows that the R6P code will have some value to collectors one day, I'd compare it to LM1 1969 Camaro cars.

Are you sure this is accurate? My 2010 is not an R6P but it has the chicklets and the GM performance badge and does not have the rear sensors.. my vin is 142852 and the build date 8/31/2009
