I know this thread is older than dirt.. But I'm planning on removing the stripes from my '10. Been on for 6 years.... I did a test piece and removed the 1/4" outlines on the decklid. Lots of wax buildup around it, how can I fix it?

Give it a nice clay and wax. you'll be amazed. That's what I did on mine
Or use some dawn soap should take all the wax off the clear, but try using some wax or sealer after to protect the paint a bit.
Clay bar and good wax works the best though.
