Yep that was one of the coolest parts- drive to the track, slap on the slicks and take on the trailered cars.

I lurk from time to time. Sadly my car was picked up last Friday and is being shipped to New Zealand. A racer there wants a weekend track toy to show his buddies what American Iron can do.

If you are really honest about running a trophy-capable car, including repairs, tires, rebuilding the engine every couple of years, I figure about $20,000 to $25,000 per year to campaign the Mustang. Add another $10,000 to run a Camaro in the unlimited NASA ST2 class, due to the high output engine and all the stress it puts on the drivetrain.

Had a great start of the season. My Mustang is the #21. I went on to win this race...
