Good. That's what I like to hear!

Glad I wasn't the only thinking that when I seen it

If anyone has a Seibon, Anderson Composites, Moreno Motorsports CF Spoiler that they are not happy with, send me a PM and let's talk about me taking it off your hands. Thanks

Well you have a point there! I guess I was expecting perfection and I do realize nothing is perfect.

Appreciate everyone's input and comments that what I in fact have is a very, very small imperfection that I can certainly live with. Will be going to get clean coated and put on... finally.

Good to know that you can't get a perfect cf piece. Won't spend the money on it.

They told me that there wasn't any need for anything additional coating wise out of the box. What's the reason for clear coat?

Sun will eventually fade the CF and end up with a yellow tint. Once these pieces are clear coated man they just pop! Sucks to have to pay more but this process is worth it. I also had my entire front end and hood coated with Suntek to help prevent chips and sun damage. Going 150+ you tend to pick up some sh**!

is the clear on the carbon fiber spoiler not UV protected? I assume automotive clear coat is? I contacted Anderson and they didn't say anything about this when I asked if this thing is ready to go right out of the box.

I had additional coats of clear put on and clear bra. It is not only the sun but the CF is highly susceptible to rock chips.

Spoiler shouldn't get many rocks, but does clear coat help that much with sun? I don't get why the gel coat they use wouldn't have UV protection in it...

I would think it would, GM spent a fortune on the clear for the hood insert because of it. I didn't think rock chips would be a factor on the spoiler either until one of the guys here got one. I have had my spoiler on for about two years and no yellowing yet.

If the gel coat has UV protection in it then I assume the clear coating is for another reason?

I figured it couldn't hurt, it should provide additional rock chip and some sun protection. Moreno bros. suggested it also.
