I really liked that car! I didn't even ask the price. I don't need another car right now. After detailing the interior on the third gen last night I come to the realization it needs painted. I'm not spending any more money on cars till that's done!

It was great to meet everyone this weekend. Had an awesome time. Many thanks again to Sherri and to Kyle for all you did to make this happen. Can't wait until next year!

Yes, thanks Sherri! Event was great. We'll definitely need a bigger corral next year.

Thanks Kyle for your work with the hotel (and the free beer). Had a good time. Was fun watching your guest drifting the cars around the hotel and into the parking spots. Nice to meet your dad too.

The Mac is back!
And I've already pissed off half the forum by suggesting taking a broke car to a DEALER for diagnosis and repair instead of a website. I know, shocking suggestion!

Looking through the pics and am surprised the one hasn't been deleted...yet

I had to look back through but I think I see what you mean. Starts with a N, ends with a ewman.

I will second the comment, the track officials really just let us at it. Lots of stopping, letting the car infront go then HAMMERING it.

Great fun! I ran both laps with the cutouts wide open. Probably sounded just like a race car with the exhaust dumping right out after the headers!
The best part for me was when I got a little loose in the corner playing around and I told Kristin I would stop if it scared her. Her response was, "are you kidding, I ride with Jason all the time, I am use to it"

It was a bit rough for what they were asking, even with 90K+ miles and a really rough cold idle. Also needed new belts as well as an AC compressor belt.

I was told $20K.

Not lying. However it's solid as hell so it's worth more than it may look like. Tune up and probably cosmetic work from what I found poking around on it.

Not to mention it appeared mostly correct for a '78 400.

20k? no chance. Paint was horrible, lots of cleaning required, wheels needed redone (there was still gold paint on the tires from the touch up)

I love how everyone with a black trans am thinks it's some big collector item

It did look unmolested but needing a ton of work none the less. Good luck to him if he wants that much.

Yeah, someone definitely took a rattle can to those wheels. That car looked like it needed some love.

Few pics from my camera. I've also got video of Darth Emma on the Dyno and a 10 min video of the parade laps. Sound isn't very good and the track video leaves a lot to be desired but its available if anyone want to view it.

Here are the links to the videos.

Neat video....

As fun as that might have been for you guys to do the parade laps..... I suggest you come to the track day on Oct 3rd.... There will be no braking and stopping in the corners... It seemed like all you guys were able to do is punch it in the straights..... I wish you guys in the convertibles could join us, but it is a Mid-Ohio rule.

You guys were missing the best part of the track coming off the back straight and then thunder valley and then into the Carasole

Yea, I haven't had any luck getting a positive response from track days. Looks like I'm gonna have to spring for a 'Sport Bar' and try my luck with that. I really want to give my suspension a workout.

Did you try to get involved at Gingerman, the Pedders day that got canceled?

That would most likely be your best bet, but not sure.... at least until you get some sort of bar.... I would check with a few tracks about what bar or what kinda bar they will accept before purchasing one though.

To bad someone doesn't make one that can be installed and removed when not needed, that actually meet all the track standards.
