As for the Camaro, I see further dwindling sales as they make it uglier and more expensive. I could never buy a Rustang, so if Fiat can’t unload Dodge and they actually make a new Challenger that might be an option. Honestly, at higher price points the domestics aren’t a good buy. An AWD Audi or BMW are faster and have way better interiors. The M5 leaves a new ZL-1 in the dust in the 1/4, and fits 4 adults. It’s why I hope they make an AWD CTS-V, but again the interior looks like it belongs in a $40k Buick and it’s too small in the rear seat area.
LOL... M5 price starts at something like $105K.

and will be worth a 1/4 of that in a few years.

I know everything depreciates, but BMW has a knack for it.

If you read the whole paragraph, the M5 was used as a performance benchmark and was then paired against the similarly priced CTS-V, which has more HP, but is well over a second behind in the 1/4 and has a cut rate interior.

All the uber expensive sport sedans values sink like a rock; BMW, Cadillac, Mercedes, Audi, etc... Everyone wants the newest model so have high turnover rates, and second owners usually can’t afford the expensive maintenance so values plummet as well used models drive down the market.

The Z/28 is doing well, but the 3 year old ZL-1 convertible with 9k miles I should have bought was only $39k. Not exactly Lexus like resale value.

I've got the 8 speed auto in both my 2017 Colorado and 2017 Camaro SS. I've seen no issues..

The A8 shifts a lot faster and smoother then the old A6 ever did, I hated the A6 it is a slug on shifting. Also the A6 is has it issues. I see recalls listed for it on several GM vehicles.

I'm sure the A10 folks will say the same about the A8, the A6 folks said the same about the A4 & the A4 folks said the same about the A3.

In some cases I agree..
I just never could get past my 2011 looking for gears just in simple turns, between the slow shifting and poor throttle response it was a curse for the auto GEN5.

True its not all of them of course but there is a lot of posts on the 6 forum about it including the top question in line for Ask Al... the A6 is not perfect I agree as well. Tuning helps the lazy shifting among other things for sure.

A slug? If you surf Camaro5 you will find alot of built A6 cars that seem just fine. Sone push your slug to 600 hp. With a trans tune the trans performs great. I have that slug in my car and with the tune....converter... and gears it pounds the gears just fine. The A8 has been around for alot shorter time and you dont have to go to far into Camaro 6 to see the problems that the a8 has..right fro. day 1. The A6 lasted for the entire 5th gen run. Isnt the A8 being replaced already?
